So I read two articles about the Superbowl. Since I am not an avid sport’s fan, I had to see who was playing and who was favored. I found out that the Broncos are favored with Peyton Manning, but it’s bound to be close!! I must admit, I always like a good underdog, so I may be rooting for the Seahawks (I keep calling them Sea Lions in my head… ha ha.) We will see who my husband roots for and may make it a nice, friendly competition! Here is another appetizer idea for the game. These were a nice combo of sweet and savory. I love the bacon/cream cheese combo.
So, since I had the cream cheese and the jalapenos, I decided to try these. There are only four ingredients, so they are pretty simple! I found this on Pinterest, but decided to finely chop the jalapenos instead of put a chunk on them. If you want to see the recipe, go here.
1 can prepared crescent rolls, unbaked
4 Tbsp. cream cheese, softened
4 slices bacon, cooked crispy
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped finely
Unroll crescent rolls. Cut each roll in half (you have to be a little creative on this part, depending on how your rolls unroll!). Put 1/2 tsp. cream cheese, a sprinkling of jalapenos, and 1/4 piece bacon on each roll.
Wrap up (again, use your creativity).
Enjoy! These are similar in flavor to the wonton poppers, but I love the bacon flavor and the sweetness of the crescent roll dough. Yummy idea for appetizers. You can’t get much simpler!!
Stay tuned for my Sunday Message…I was tempted to do something football, but figured we will be getting enough of that. So something spiritual will be uplifting! 🙂
