Pinteresting: DiY Facial Pore Strips 8

So, you know those Biore Facial Strips?  You know, the ones that are supposed to suck out all the yucky stuff from your face?  The ones that cost $12.84 for 24 on Amazon.

Well, I saw on Pinterest that you can do the same thing with gelatin and milk.  Really?  I was seriously doubtful about this one.  I haven’t purchased pore strips since before I was married, and probably wouldn’t now.  As I was doing some baking, I noticed some gelatin that has been sitting in my spice cabinet for…a long time.  I thought, what the heck!  I can try this.

Here is the recipe:

1 tsp. gelatin

1 1/2 tsp. milk

Mix together.

Microwave for 10-12 seconds.

Be smart.  Don’t put the HOT mask on your face.  It will burn.  I will not take responsibility for anyone’s burnt face.  Use discretion. Wait for it to cool a bit.

And….

Wah-lah!  Sorry, ladies.  If you thought you would get a before and after pictures of my face with the pore strips, you have another think coming!

But, it really worked.  I didn’t think it would.  But it did.  I didn’t use all of the mixture, so when you make it be prepared to share. Also, since gelatin comes in a lot less than Biore strips, I think it is a save!!

Another Pinterest success.  It would be fun to have a girl’s beauty night:  DiY Lip Balm, DiY Face Serem, and DiY Facial Pore Strips. Add a little nail polish and some chocolate…seriously, who wants to host?

Happy pinteresting!
