Fall. Pumpkin. Oh, how I love pumpkin recipes! Since my hubby can’t eat real brownies, I thought it would be the perfect time for some Pumpkin Cream Cheese Brownies! Delish. You really must try these. They are delicious and you may find yourself with an empty pan much sooner than you intended. Here is the recipe:

- Cream Cheese Layer
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
- Pumpkin Layer
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (not pie filling)
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Mix butter, cream cheese, and sugar together until blended.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Add vanilla and fold in chocolate chips.
- Set aside.
- Mix butter and sugar together for pumpkin layer.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Mix in pumpkin.
- Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add to pumpkin mixture until blended.
- Add vanilla.
- Grease a 9x13 pan.
- Pour 2/3 of pumpkin mixture into pan. Spread with spatula.
- Pour cream cheese filling over the top.
- Dollop remaining pumpkin over cream cheese.
- Swirl with knife.
- Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
- This is a delicious, moist pumpkin cake with cream cheese layer. It will keep covered for a few days after baking, but you will eat it much sooner than that!

I took half a pan to a social function on Sunday and thought the rest of the pan would last a few days. Monday, when I got home from work, there was one lowly piece left! I must admit that I didn’t share it with anyone!!
I love chocolate, but these pumpkin brownies nearly rival my favorite chocolate brownies. I think my husband ate most of the pan. The pictures don’t do them justice!
These Pumpkin Cream Cheese Brownies are a sure hit!!
How are you celebrating October?
What is your favorite pumpkin recipe? I cannot choose, so leave me a note with yours!

Those look absolutely divine and such a nice way to celebrate October! Also, it makes a nice change from the traditional brownies that we are used to make, I think I will try and make them this weekend! Came from the IBA Facebook thread #ibabloggers 😉
